Voluntary Cleanup Program
Many non-petroleum storage tank related releases, such as those at dry cleaning establishments, may be eligible for assessment and cleanup via the DEQ's Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP). These sites are not eligible for financial assistance and you may not be required to do anything at all. However, if you are selling your property and the bank requires assessment and cleanup, you will want to work with the VRP so as to show the bank that what you are doing is acceptable to the DEQ.
